Engage (Grades 5-6)

Help kids engage their faith in their lives, serving others and sharing God’s love

 

Worship & ENGAGE: At LPC, we welcome children of all ages in corporate worship. ENGAGE kids are growing as active worshippers, and we strive to help them engage with every part of worship. We include a Kids’ Corner message in our worship guide designed to make the day’s message especially meaningful for them. We also encourage them to take on more substantial roles in leading worship, including customized opportunities for those with special interests or abilities.

 

ENGAGE Sunday School – ENGAGE kids dig deep into the Bible during Sunday school. They study the same scriptures as their younger peers, but they will spend more time on reading, discussion, and application than on games and other activities. We also help them develop as servants and leaders by having them put on puppet shows for the younger kids and by taking on mission projects.   

 

ENGAGE Wednesdays – During the fall and winter sessions of Wednesday Nights Together, ENGAGE kids can take part in our Joyful Noise Choir and then meet for devotions and games.

 

ENGAGE Summer Camp – Beginning in 2018, we will offer a summer day camp experience for ENGAGE here at LPC. Based on the words of Jesus as a preteen (“I must be about my Father’s business), the week is designed to help kids put their faith into action.
